Certification Assistant Main Dashboard

Navigation: We highly recommend using the back options located directly in Certification Assistant, instead of the back and forward buttons in your web browser. These links are located in the upper, right corner of most pages. If you have access to multiple plans (Lite, Standard and Premium), you can toggle back and forth between then using the drop down provided in the upper, right corner.

Plans

Certification Assistant users have the CMMC compliance plan and the NIST plan available as part of their license. Select the plan to access the plan’s home page. Please see the CMMC Dashboard page for additional information on the compliance plan.


Tasks

The dashboard displays the action item tasks assigned to the current user and the status of the task. Click the action item to open the Task Detail page, where you can further manage the task.


Graphs

The Charts section on the dashboard shows a quick snapshot of overall progress with the CMMC plan, along with a legend explaining each portion of the graph. Please note the graphs are informational only, and do not have clickable features. The following graphs are available:

  • Graph 1 displays the percentage of complete controls for CMMC.
  • Graph 2 displays the percentage of complete controls for NIST. 
  • Graph 3 displays organization activity highlights.

Help and Profile

This section is located at the bottom of the dashboard and provides the following options:

  • Certification Assistant Standard Help: This link redirects to the Certification Assistant Standard and Premium Features page in MyExostar.
  • Support: This link redirects to the Customer Support page in MyExostar, where you can locate dial-in information, a chat feature, as well as an online case form.
  • Import/Export: As an existing Exostar’s Partner Information Manager (PIM) user, you can export your existing data and import into CMMC via Certification Assistant Standard or Premium. Please see the Import Certification Assistant – Import/Export Data page for instructions.
  • UPGRADE!: Selecting this button redirects to Exostar’s web store to complete an upgrade purchase to Certification Assistant Premium. Please see the Certification Assistant Standard page for instructions.

Message Inbox

Certification Assistant supports a messaging feature, allowing you to communicate with team members, clients or consultants. The inbox displays in the bottom, right corner of the dashboard, and provides a list of messages and additional columns of information. From this section, you can initiate a new message, as well as redirect to the Message Inbox page.

A number displays next to the user drop down menu, located in the upper right corner of the screen, notifying you of the number of unread messages.
