EAG FAQs

EAG General FAQs

What is EAG?
Enterprise Access Gateway (EAG) is an Exostar service that allows users to access their Exostar Managed Access Gateway (MAG) accounts and any applications & services affiliated with MAG by using their Company-Issued Credentials.
What are Corporate Credentials?
Corporate Credentials (or Company-issued Credentials), are issued to users by their own Organization (not by Exostar). These credentials are used to log into your company computer for work.
My organization is subscribed to EAG. How do I setup EAG on my account?
For instructions, please reference the EAG User Guide.
Can an individual purchase EAG?
No, EAG is issued only at the Organization (company) level.
What is the cost of EAG?
Please contact Exostar Sales.

EAG Login FAQs

How can I Reset my MAG password or change my security questions if I am using EAG account linking?
If your Exostar MAG account is linked to a Corporate Account, you do not need to change the password or setup security questions in MAG. Your password life cycle will be managed by your corporate enterprise.

If you want to reset your Exostar MAG password or change your security questions, you must de-link EAG from your MAG account first. If you are a Rolls-Royce or BAE Systems EAG user and need to have your account de-linked, contact your Corporate Help Desk. All other EAG users should contact Exostar Customer Support.
How can I Reset my Corporate Password?
If you forgot your Corporate Credentials (your Corporate User ID and/or Password), reach out to your Corporate Help Desk for assistance.
I am unable to login to MAG while using the shortcut bookmark saved to my browser’s favorites. What should I do?
We suggest logging in by going directly to the MAG login portal (you can save the URL as a new favorite). To login directly to the MAG portal, complete these steps:
1. Clear your browser’s cache and cookies.
2. Go to https://portal.exostar.com and select Login Using Company Credential (EAG).
3. Select the proper Remote Identity Provider and enter your corporate credentials.
4. You can save https://portal.exostar.com as a favorite. (Additionally, you can use the Favorites link for subsequent logins).
What should I do if I selected the Incorrect Identity Provider when trying to login to MAG, and cannot switch to the correct provider?
Close all your browsers and login again. You can complete this by following the steps below:
1. Select Login Using Company Credential (EAG) at https://portal.exostar.com.
2. Select the proper Remote Identity Provider, and enter your Corporate Credentials. If the problem continues, please contact your Company IT Help Desk to ensure there are no issues with your company account.
What should I do if I am being prompted for my Corporate Credentials during the login?
Please ensure you are logging in with your Corporate Credentials (your company User ID & Password, token password, smart card, etc).

ERROR 5105: R-IDP user is not allowed to login with local credential. How can I resolve this?

ERROR Remote Account: This remote account has already been linked to another Exostar MAG account?
You will receive this message when your Exostar MAG account is already associated with the Corporate Identity Credentials. This may happen if you have multiple accounts, and already linked one account to your Corporate Credentials.
ERROR: Higher Level of Credential Required when accessing an application?
Your authentication details from your Remote Identity Provider (your corporate provider) may not have been passed to the application owner, or the application might not accept your credential strength.

Close all browsers, and attempt to login again at https://portal.exostar.com. If problem continues, please contact Exostar Customer Support to verify that your authentication level is supported for the applications you are trying to access.
ERROR Application Access: What do I do if I am able to login to MAG via EAG, but receive an error when trying to access my application within the platform?
If the status of the application you are trying to access says Launch and you receive an error, contact Exostar Customer Support.
ADDITIONAL ERRORS: I don’t see my error message listed in the FAQs. What do I do?
Close all YOUR browsers and try logging in again. If that does not resolve the issues, please follow the steps below:
1. Go to https://portal.exostar.com and click Login Using Company Credential (EAG).
2. Select your correct Remote Identity Provider and enter your Corporate Credentials.
NOTE: If you have a corrupted Basic Level of Assurance (BLOA) FIS Digital Certificate, delete it from your browser by going to Tools, Internet Options, Content then Certificates.
