SAM Housekeeping Rules

Please note, this page is specific to Service Provider Administrators and Management & Portal Administrators.

User doesn’t complete first time login within 180 days.Suspend SAM AccountWhen a user’s account is created and linked to a Remote Identity Provider the status is automatically set to ‘Active’ so this rule will not be triggered for these users.

– 14th day
– 28th day
– 42nd day

Active User does not log into SAM for Y days.Suspend SAM Account– Y is based on the SAM application with the maximum # of days a user must access it before their subscription is suspended and adding 30 days.
– Currently the max # of days is 730 so (Y = 730 +30 = 760 days).
Active user does not access Application after X daysSuspend user’s access to ApplicationX is Configurable for each application and can be turned off.  
– Housekeeping does not apply to SAM accounts linked to Organizations that have requested that housekeeping be turned off.
– Housekeeping does not apply to SAM accounts that have deferred first time login emails.
Account status is unsuspendedIf a user is re-subscribed for an application this will cause their application status to go from ‘Suspended’ to ‘Active’
