OTP Renewal

OTP credentials are sold as Annual Subscriptions. These subscriptions are valid for one year from the date of purchase, and the renewal period lasts for 12 months. During this time, you are eligible to purchase a subscription renewal. Make sure to purchase a renewal, and NOT a brand-new OTP credential. If your credential expires in 30 days or less, the expiration date displays under the Credential Strength section in the My 2FA Credentials toolbar.

Renewal Process

To Complete the Renewal Process:

  1. Login to MAG with your User ID/Email and Password.
  2. Select the Manage & Renew button in the My 2FA Credentials section on the MAG Dashboard.
  3. On the Manage OTP page, select the Renew button to open Exostar’s Web Store. 
  4. Select the appropriate credential type from the drop-down to display a list of available renewal options.
  5. Select the desired credential row. Click the Add to Cart button.
  6. Click the Proceed to Checkout button. 
  7. On the Payment Information page, select to pay via credit card or invoice. Fill out all required information. Click Continue.
  8. On the Review and Submit Your Order page, click the Disclaimer link and review the information. Once you complete your review, select the checkbox next to I have read and acknowledged the following Disclaimer prior to purchase.
  9. Click Submit Order.

NOTES:

  • If you select the Get 2FA button, the system prompts you to renew, instead of completing an entirely new purchase.
  • The invoice option requires you complete payment before receiving any product.
  • Once you complete the full payment, the MAG system can take up to an hour to reflect the new expiration date.
  • Length of Subscription: The OTP Hardware token subscription is valid for one year from the date of purchase (and not from the date of activation). 
  • Token Use: At the time of renewal, only the subscription will renew. Please continue using your existing physical token.
  • Payment: If you pay via credit card, the renewal date in MAG for the selected subscriptions will be updated within 24 hours. If you choose to be invoiced, your payment must be received and processed by Exostar before the subscription renewal will be processed.
  • Suspended Token: After the expiration of the OTP Hardware Token, the token status will change to Suspended. If your token is suspended, you will not be able to log in with your token, but you will be able to renew it for a year after the expiration. If you do not renew your token within this time period, your token will be revoked.
  • Revoked Token: A revoked token cannot be reactivated. If a token is revoked, the user will need to purchase and set up the whole new token. Prior to revocation, Exostar will send emails to the user, reminding the user of the token’s revocation date. These emails will be sent thirty, fifteen, and three days prior to the token revocation date.
