ForumPass OFFICIAL Get Started

Access Requirements: In order to access the ForumPass OFFICIAL application, you must have an Exostar’s Managed Access Gateway (MAG) account, as well as purchase and set-up a Medium Level of Assurance (MLOA) Software Certificate credential. BAE Systems must issue an invitation to set-up your MAG account to initiate the process outlined below.

Step 1. Register

In order to access the ForumPass OFFICIAL application, you must receive an email invitation from BAE Systems. Locate that email to begin the account registration process.

To complete MAG account registration:
1. Click the Accept Invitation button, located in the email invitation from the Exostar system.
2. Your browser displays a Get started with Exostar dialogue box. Click the Get Started button.
3. On the Complete the following information page, review the data for accuracy and input any missing fields. Select your Organization Headquarters Location from the country drop-down menu. Click Next.
A confirmation message displays account registration details and further instructions to be on the look-out for an account activation email.

Step 2. Activate Account

Once Exostar approves your organization registration, you receive an account activation email. Please review all information provided in the email, paying special attention to your Account Details and User ID

IMPORTANT: Since you received and accepted the invitation, you are automatically designated as the Organization Administrator for your company. For more information on your administrative responsibilities, please see the MAG Organization Administrator page.

To activate your user account:
1. Locate the Account Activation email. Click the Activate My Account button.
2. Review the Password Policy. Input and confirm your permanent Password. Click Next.
NOTE: Your Email Address or User ID and Password are used for all subsequent MAG logins.
3. Review the information on the screen concerning your security questions. Select and answer your Security Questions. Click Next to open the MAG Dashboard.

Step 3. Accept Terms and Conditions

Once you successfully activate your MAG account, you must accept the ForumPass OFFICIAL Terms and Conditions. To accept the ForumPass OFFICIAL Terms and Conditions, you must have the Organization Administrator or ForumPass OFFICIAL Application Administrator role. Access to ForumPass OFFICIAL is not possible for any users in your organization until Terms and Conditions are accepted. 

To accept ForumPass OFFICIAL Terms and Conditions:
1. Locate the ForumPass OFFICIAL tile, located under the My Application section of your MAG Dashboard. Click the Agree to Terms button.
NOTE: If the tile says Pending Terms, an Organization Administrator or ForumPass OFFICIAL Application Administrator must accept terms.
2. Click Continue to view the ForumPass OFFICIAL Terms and Conditions.
3. Review the Terms and Conditions. Check the box for I have read and agree to these terms and conditions. Click Next to complete the process.

Step 4. Purchase

To access ForumPass OFFICIAL, you must purchase and set-up a Medium Level of Assurance (MLOA) Software Certificate. 

To purchase an MLOA Software Certificate:
1. Navigate to Exostar’s Web Store and ensure you are logged in.
2. Select the purchase now link for the FIS Medium Level of Assurance (MLOA) – Software option.
3. Review the Important Purchasing Information section at the top of the screen.
4. Choose the desired radio button for the desired validity period: Buy For Yourself or Buy for Other(s).
5. Select from the Country drop-down. Click Add to Cart.
6. Review your Shopping Cart for accuracy and click the Proceed to Checkout button.
7. On the Payment Information page, select to pay via credit card or invoice. Fill out all required information. Click Continue.
NOTE: The invoice option requires you complete payment before receiving any product.
8. On the Review and Submit Your Order page, click the Disclaimer link and review the information. Once you complete your review, select the checkbox next to I have read and acknowledged the following Disclaimer prior to purchase.
9. Click Submit Order.
NOTE: A confirmation page displays, providing your Sales Order Number (SO#####).

Step 5. Request FIS Access

Once you successfully complete your MLOA Software Certificate purchase, you must request FIS access via your MAG user account. Once you request access and an FIS Administrator approves your request, the request is routed to Exostar. An Exostar Trusted Agent review yours request for accuracy and dispatches your in-person proofing.

To request FIS MLOA Software Certificate access:
1. Login to MAG. Select Request Access in the Federated Identity Service (FIS) section, bottom right corner, of the My 2FA Credentials section.
2. In the FIS Certificate Information section, make selections from the drop-down menus provided. 
NOTE: These selections must match your purchase.
3. In the User Information section, verify all data input. Click Next.
A confirmation screen displays. Your Organization’s FIS Administrator must approve your request. Once your request is approved, the request is routed to Exostar for review and approval. You must complete an in-person proofing appointment prior to downloading your certificates.

Step 6. Complete In-Person Proofing

Once an Exostar Trusted Agent reviews your FIS request for accuracy against your purchase, they dispatch your in-person proofing. An approved Proofer in your area will contact you to schedule the in-person proofing appointment. Once you complete a successful proofing appointment, the Trusted Agent faxes the proofing packet to Exostar for approval. When your packet is approved, you can download your certificates. To review high-level in-person proofing process:
1. FIS Administrator approves your MLOA request.
2. Exostar representative reviews request for purchase information and validation.
3. Exostar representative dispatches your proofing request according to your location.
4. A Trusted Agent contacts you to schedule your in-person proofing appointment.
5. Complete in-person proofing. Trusted Agent provides your 16-digit passcode required for certificate download.
6. Exostar representative approves your Proofing Packet.
IMPORTANT: The Trusted Agent fills out your proofing packet during the in-person proofing appointment, and faxes the packet back to Exostar for review. If any updates are required, Exostar reaches out to the Trusted Agent.

Step 7. Download Certificates

You will receive an email notification once an Exostar Trusted Agent approves your proofing packet, prompting you to download your MLOA Software Certificates. You must have the 16-digit passcode provided by the proofer. 

To download your MLOA Software certificates:
1. Login to your MAG account. Go to the My Account tab. Click the Manage Certificates tab.
2. Enter the passcode provided to you by your proofing agent during your in-person proofing appointment. This passcode is only valid after you receive an FIS approval email from Exostar.   
NOTE: The passcode is a 16-digit number separated by hyphens; for example: 1234-5678-1234-5678. You must enter all characters, including hyphens (or leave hyphens out completely). The passcode is NOT the same as your MAG log-in password.
3. Archive the encryption key. If your passcode is correct, you will see the list of certificates you can download. The system automatically selects all certificates for download. Click OK to archive your encryption key, and enable key recovery. 
NOTE: This activity allows Exostar to archive the encryption key for recovery at a later time. Refer to the Recover Encryption Key page for more information.
4. Enable Strong Protection. Click Set Security Level, and then set the security level to High.
NOTE: Exostar strongly recommends you enable strong protection for your MLOA certificates, unless there are corporate policies against doing so.
5. By default, the Medium option is already selected. Change this to High and click Next.
6. Provide a password for this certificate.
NOTE: You must provide this password each time you use your certificate.
7. The system displays the new security level. Click OK.
8. Download the certificates. The system prompts you for the password set in step 6, to download the certificates. Once you enter the password, click OK. Once the download is complete, a confirmation message displays.
NOTE: Refer to the FIS FAQs page for information on any certificate download errors.

Step 8. Access

Now that you have successfully installed your software certificates, you can access the ForumPass OFFICIAL application. This section provides instructions on logging into the application.

To login and access ForumPass OFFICIAL:
1. Navigate to the MAG login screen.
2. Select the Login Using Badge or Certificate link.
3. Enter the certificate password you created during the download process.
4. On the MAG Dashboard, select Launch in the ForumPass OFFICIAL application tile.
NOTE: You are able to bookmark or save the specific project link to your browser. When you select to open the site, you will be prompted to enter your certificate password.
