ForumPass Get Started

If this is your first time accessing ForumPass, you must first register both yourself and your organization for a Managed Access Gateway (MAG) account, as well as obtain the proper credentials depending on your ForumPass profile-type.

Step 1. Register

MAG is a consolidated portal providing Identity and Access Management (IAM) as a cloud service for the Aerospace & Defense industries. The ForumPass application is available through MAG. Please follow-up with the company representative that set-up ForumPass with Exostar. They can provide additional information on account set-up and credentialing requirements.

To complete MAG account registration:
1. Click the Accept Invitation button, located in the email invitation from the Exostar system.
2. Your browser displays a Get started with Exostar dialogue box. Click the Get Started button.
3. On the Complete the following information page, review the data for accuracy and input any missing fields. Select your Organization Headquarters Location from the country drop-down menu. Click Next.

A confirmation message displays account registration details and further instructions to be on the look-out for an account activation email.

Step 2. Activate Account

Once Exostar approves your organization registration, you receive an account activation email. Please review all information provided in the email, paying special attention to your Account Details and User ID

IMPORTANT: Since you received and accepted the invitation, you are automatically designated as the Organization Administrator for your company. For more information on your administrative responsibilities, please see the MAG Organization Administrator page.

To activate your account and accept ForumPass Terms & Conditions:
1. 1. Locate the Account Activation email. Click the Activate My Account button.
2. Review the Password Policy. Input and confirm your permanent Password. Click Next.
NOTE: Your Email Address or User ID and Password are used for all subsequent MAG logins.
3. Review the information on the screen concerning your security questions. Select and answer your Security Questions. Click Next to open the MAG Dashboard.
3. Under My Applications locate the ForumPass tile, click Agree to Terms.
4. Next review the terms and conditions. Check the I have read and agree box to accept terms and conditions.
5. You will receive a confirmation message. Next click Go to Dashboard, to begin the credentialing process, if necessary.

Step 3. Purchase Credentials

Once you successfully accept the ForumPass Terms and Conditions during the registration process, you are then prompted to setup your credential (if necessary). Depending on your ForumPass profile-type, you may be required to have two-factor authentication or additional requirements.

Profile TypeRequirements
Core ProfileRequires a User ID/email and Password
Sensitive Profile Requires a User ID/email, Password, and Basic Level of Assurance (BLOA) certificate
Restricted ProfileRequires a User ID/email, Password, Medium Level of Assurance (MLOA) certificate, and the TLS 1.0 and restricted attributes enabled in the browser
Protected ProfileRequires the same as Restricted, plus a Medium Level of Assurance certificate includes a hardware token

Step 4. Access ForumPass

To Access the ForumPass Application:
1. Login to your MAG user account with you Email Address/User ID and Password. 
2. Locate ForumPass in the Applications section on your MAG Dashboard. Selectt the Launch button to open ForumPass.
NOTE: If you had additional security credentials, the system prompts for them after you select to Launch the application.

Step 5. Export Control & Usage Notice

The first time you login to ForumPass, the system displays the ForumPass Export Control and Usage Notice. All users must read the agreement and acknowledge the notice before accessing the ForumPass environment.

To accept Export Control and Usage Notice:
The agreement offers the following two options:
1. If you select I have read the ForumPass Export & Usage Notice, understand and acknowledge its requirements, you are directed to the ForumPass application
2. If you select I did not read/understand the ForumPass Export & Usage Notice, you are denied access and are presented with additional instruction. The Usage Notice continues to display each time you log into ForumPass until you choose to acknowledge it.

Once you read and acknowledge the notice, it no longer displays on subsequent logins.
