Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 Get Started

Access Requirements: In order to access Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 application, you must complete a purchase via Exostar’s web store, register and activate an Exostar’s Managed Access Gateway (MAG) account, and setup a Phone One Time Password (OTP) without Proofing credential. Please note the OTP is included in the Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 purchase. Once you complete account and credential setup, you must receive an email confirmation that your partner invited you to access Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365. This email prompts you to login to MAG and launch the application. Please see the entire process outlined below.

IMPORTANT: There is a 20-license minimum purchase requirement. You will receive ONE voucher code to use the number of times matching your purchase. Once that threshold is met, the voucher code is no longer valid. 

Step 1. Purchase

To complete an Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 with OTP purchase:
1. Navigate to the Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 page in Exostar’s Web Store.
NOTE: You must purchase a minimum of 20 licenses. The Quantity field is pre-populated along the right-hand side of the screen. Change the quantity as necessary. 
2. Complete the Primary Information section, as well as the Billing Address section. Click Next
3. Select your Payment Method and input Payment Details. Click Submit to complete your purchase.
NOTE: If you select to pay by Invoice, you will not receive the voucher code needed to complete set-up, until Exostar receives full payment. 
Once you successfully complete your purchase, you will receive the following emails:
Payment confirmation with Voucher Code: You will receive ONE voucher code that is good for the number of licenses you purchase. Once the voucher code has been used that number of times, it is no longer valid.

Step 2. Register

In order the register for a MAG account, please first locate the email titled: Getting Started with Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365. 

To complete self-registration:
1. Select the Exostar Managed Access Gateway link in the email or navigate to https://ui.portal.exostar.com/iamui/onboarding/register.
2. On the MAG Register screen, input your Email Address. Click Next
3. Complete all data fields in Your InformationOrganization Information and Organization Headquarters Location. Click Next.
NOTE: If the system locates organization matches, they display on the screen.
4. Select the None of the above, Create New Organization option to create a new organization. Otherwise, select an existing Organization. Click Next.
A confirmation message displays. If you receive a registration denial due to a duplicate organization account, you are provided with the Organization Administrators information, so you can request a user account.

Step 3. Activate Account

Once you successfully register, you will receive an account activation email from Exostar. Please review all information and pay special attention to your User ID. 

To activate your MAG user account:
1. Click the Activate My Account button in the email. 
2. Review the Password Policy, create and confirm your permanent password. Click Next.
3. Select your Security Questions and Answers. Click Next to display the MAG Dashboard.

Step 4. Setup Phone OTP

Once you successfully activate your MAG account, you must activate and register your Phone OTP without Proofing credential. 

To activate and register your credential:
1. Select the Enter it here link via the My 2FA Credentials section on your MAG Dashboard.
2. Input the voucher code in the field provided. Click Submit to navigate to the Register page.
3. Select the desired delivery method. Select your country from the dropdown provided, and enter your phone number. Click Register.
NOTE: Exostar recommends you register at least two phones, but you can register up to three. 
4. An activation code is sent to your phone via the delivery method selected, and a verification code field displays on the screen. Enter the code and click Continue.
A confirmation page displays. Click Register Another Credential to proceed through the steps again to register an additional phone, which we recommend. To complete the activation, click I’m done, go to dashboard.

Step 5. Access Application

Now that you have successfully set-up your MAG account and Phone OTP credential, you must wait to receive an email invitation to access the application. This email is titled: Exostar Secure Access for M365: You’ve been added to a Microsoft Team (Exostar Validation)

To open the Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 application:
1. Locate the email invitation. Select the MAG Login link.
2. Input your Email Address or User ID. Click Next
3. Input your Password. Click Next.
4. Locate the Exostar’s Managed Microsoft 365 tile on the MAG Dashboard. Click Launch to be prompted for your Phone OTP.
5. Select the phone number to which you want use to receive the OTP code. Choose the delivery method. Click Send to have the code sent to your phone.
6. You will receive the OTP code on your phone. Enter the code in the OTP Code field. Click Next to open the application.
NOTE: Once you receive the code, it will be valid for the next two minutes. If the code expires, click Resend verification code.
