Certification Assistant Partner Engagement

The Certification Assistant Partner Program (“CAPP”) is designed for third party consultants, Service Providers, CMMC Assessors, and others who want to assess or verify the self-assessments of Certification Assistant (CA) end customers. This page is specific to managing the Partner Engagement relationship in the Certification Assistant Application. New Engagement

You must initiate a new partner engagement directly in the Certification Assistant Application to begin the Partner Engagement process. To initiate a new partner engagement:

1. Select Partner Engagement from the user drop down, located in the upper, right corner.
2. Select the New Engagement button.
3. Choose the desired Plans.
4. Choose the Project Scope.
5. Click Send Request.

The partner is notified through the messaging system and is prompted to Accept or Reject the engagement. Once accepted, the status updates to Engagement Accepted.  The partner then assigns a consultant to your engagement and requests access to your data in Certification Assistant.  You receive a message from the system that this request has been sent.


Accept Access Request

Once you initiate a partner engagement, that partner must then request access to your Certification Assistant application. Once they request access, you must either accept or decline. If you choose to decline, work with the partner outside of the system to review your content. The access request notification displays in your Message Inbox, located on the Certification Assistant dashboard. From there, access the Partner Engagement section of the application, via the user drop down menu.

If you choose to accept, the consultant is then able to access your data from their login and review, make comments, assign actions, a well as upload documentation just like a member of your account.  When they complete their work, the consultant cancels access and moves on to the documentation stage of the project. When the consultant completes the documentation report, they deliver it via the system and you receive another message.  In the Partner Engagement screen, click View Documentation to review the report.
