What is Boeing 787 SCMP?
The Supply Chain Platform – Boeing 787 SCMP instance is a Boeing-only platform configured for the 787 program. Boeing 787 SCMP provides multi-tier visibility required to manage 787-unique Partner Managed Inventory (PMI) processes. The platform also provides for integration capabilities used by non-787 suppliers. Required Credentials: Hardware OTP Token with Proofing.
Features
Boeing 787 SCMP supports two major business processes:
- Partner Managed Inventory (PMI): In the PMI process, Boeing has contractual relationships with Providing Partners for supplying aircraft component items used in sub-assemblies built by Consuming Partners.
- Direct Procurement: In the direct procurement process, Boeing is the buyer and receives items directly from the Providing Partner.
